The most iconic combo of the northern circuit. The Serengeti offers vastness, the great plains, and the perpetual movement of migration. The Ngorongoro offers the concentrate: a crater that traps wildlife in a natural amphitheater 600 meters deep, with the best density of lions in Africa and one of the last populations of black rhinos accessible on safari. One gives breath, the other gives precision.
3-day, 2-night private safari.
Pick-up at your hotel early in the morning (request an early breakfast at your hotel), then arrival at Zanzibar airport for a morning flight to Arusha Airport (ARK), departing at 8:00 AM and arriving at 9:15 AM. Then fly to Seronera Airport (SEU) for an arrival right in the heart of the Serengeti park around 11:00 AM (thus avoiding a long drive). This area, called Seronera, is the heart of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, renowned for its exceptional wildlife density year-round. Among open savannahs, acacia forests, and the Seronera river valley, you will observe lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and many more.
Meet your safari guide and depart for a day of safari with a picnic lunch. At the end of the day, settle into a luxury tented camp for the evening, dinner, and overnight at “Serengeti Queen” or “Golden camp” (more information on accommodations in the lodging section below).
After breakfast, depart for a second full day of safari in the central Serengeti region with a picnic lunch. Return in the evening and settle at “Angata tented camp” or “Embelakai camp” to enjoy the evening, dinner, and overnight.
After an early breakfast, depart towards the Ngorongoro conservation area, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, one of the few places on Earth where humans and wildlife coexist in harmony. The Ngorongoro crater is famous for offering one of the best safaris in Africa due to the permanent presence of wildlife, favored by a constant water source at the bottom of the crater. Upon your arrival at the crater’s edge, you will descend 610 meters to begin your safari. You may observe the rare black rhinoceros, as well as wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, elands, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, not to mention elephants with large tusks. The crater is also home to the largest known population of lions, as well as leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals, and the rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded there, including white pelicans and flamingos.
After the safari, you will leave the crater to head to Arusha Airport (ARK), where you will arrive in time for check-in.
What is included: Taxi between your hotel and the airport; plane tickets, three days of safari with an English-speaking guide in a private jeep equipped with wifi, two nights in a lodge, all meals.
