Pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar. Upon arrival on the island, you will be welcomed by our team and driven to the boarding point of our local boat to search for whale sharks. Lunch with a seafood barbecue on a secluded beach with fruit and drinks.

After the excursion, return to the boarding point and be picked up by our guide for a tour of the town of Kilindoni. After the tour, you will be driven to the airport. Drivers will be waiting to take you back to your respective hotels.

Program : 2 days + 1 night

Day 1: Zanzibar – Mafia Island | Whale sharks and sunset

Flight from Zanzibar to Mafia Island. Upon arrival, transfer to the marine centre for a guided snorkelling excursion with whale sharks. Then relax with a seafood barbecue on a secluded beach with fruit and drinks. At the end of the afternoon, check in at the Utende Seacliff Resort, then enjoy a dhow cruise at sunset before dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Mafia Island – Zanzibar | Leisure and departure

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning to enjoy the beach or the village of Utende. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Zanzibar and return to your hotel.

What to bring: Hat, sunglasses, towel, swimsuit, sunscreen, anti-emetics if seasick, cash for tips, visa, insurance and passport.

Whale sharks are often present during the season, but sightings cannot be guaranteed. No refunds will be given if a whale shark is not sighted.
